This Dubai Makeup Artist thinks KKW x Mario collab is an epic beauty moment!

This date also marks their 10^th year anniversary of meeting each other!

The collection is available today at kkwbeauty.com, well, that is if you can actually get your hands on one before it becomes sold out! It will include a 10-pan eyeshadow palette, a Crème lipstick and two High Shine Lip Glosses. Sweet!

But do you know why I believe that this collaboration is such an epic beauty moment? Well, duh, not everyone may be her fan but you’ve got to admit, she has been a major influence in the beauty industry.

Kim Kardashian’s iconic looks created by Mario have changed how a lot of women interact with makeup over the past decade. And yes, it has produced thousands, if not millions of beauty trends, Instagram influencers and fanatics all around the world.

I have followed Mario’s career for more than four years now. And I had the opportunity to meet him and Kim K in his Masterclass in Dubai last year. I signed up because I wanted to witness how Mario creates these amazing makeup looks, the products he uses and also learn techniques that can improve my skill as an artist. I also wanted to hear his personal success story so I can somehow follow his footsteps.

When the Masterclass day came, I told myself not to expect too much because these are famous people and just seeing them in person is already a big deal. But when the session started, I was really impressed! The session was really informative and seeing first-hand how Mario applies makeup was a great experience for me.

My favorite techniques that I still do up to now? One, using moisturizer instead of primer as a foundation base. Mario explained that he never uses primer because foundation blends really well with the face’s natural oils; two, layering to create more intense looks; And three, loading up on mascara on the lower lashes for that extra glam effect!

Of course, the best part was when I had the chance to meet them up close. Kim’s face was so small and she was so petite, with such amazing skin. And Mario was such a dear. And okay, I admit, the goody bags were awesome too!
