What would you do if an amazing but totally unexpected opportunity comes your way?<\/div>\n

The old me?<\/div>\n

I probably would have said NO.<\/div>\n
I probably would\u2019ve shied away and turn my back.<\/div>\n
I probably would\u2019ve let my fear prevail.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
At the beginning of 2019, this was what almost happened until I made a brave decision…<\/div>\n
I was hired to do the makeup and hair for the UAE Emirates ID TV Commercial. it was a very BIG DEAL.\u00a0\"\ud83d\ude4c\"<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The TVC will air all over UAE Emirates ID social media channels.<\/div>\n
Of course, I was so excited!<\/div>\n
I was in my element and i single handedly did the hair, makeup, and grooming of all the talents.\u00a0\"\ud83d\udc84\"\"\ud83d\udc8b\"<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The shoot was almost done when suddenly one of the production staff realized that they needed to shoot one more scene but many of the female talents left already for the day.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Oh, No!\u00a0\"\ud83d\ude31\"<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
On my part, I was worried that I had to do makeup on a new talent and there was pressure that I must finish the job quickly before we lose more time for the shoot.\u00a0\"\u23f0\"<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
But there\u2019s a catch:<\/div>\n
They need ONE more female talent!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The staff then looked at me and asked me:<\/div>\n
Can you be the female talent?!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I was shocked!<\/div>\n
I\u2019ve never appeared or acted in any TV project before… my only experience was doing YouTube and Instagram videos!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
What if I mess up the shoot?<\/div>\n
What If I make mistakes?<\/div>\n
What if I cause more delays?<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
All these fears and uncertainties were swimming in my brain… i was terrified.<\/div>\n
But then the staff talked to me and said, i don\u2019t need to be scared as they will guide me. Not to mention, i get to be paid a separate Talent Fee for the job\u00a0\"\ud83d\ude09\"<\/div>\n

Amidst all the chaos in my head, i decided…<\/div>\n
What the heck? I\u2019ll go for it!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I decided not to let my FEARS win…<\/div>\n
i decided to be brave…<\/div>\n
I can do this!\u00a0\"\ud83d\udcaa\"<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
While my experience has always been behind the scenes, i told myself that trying something new will be good for me!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
So, i promptly fixed myself and in no time, i was on set.<\/div>\n
It was so fast… it was like a dream!<\/div>\n
It was finished before I even realized it.<\/div>\n
Honestly, I can\u2019t even remember the details because I was so overwhelmed!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
A few weeks after that… I started to get some calls and messages.<\/div>\n
From friends, family, even clients!<\/div>\n
They said they saw me on TV and on Facebook!<\/div>\n
I realized that the TVC is ON AIR so I quickly checked it out.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
At first, it felt strange seeing myself in such a major project but after watching it a few times, i felt a mix of excitement and pride.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I felt fulfilled that I was able to go out of my comfort zone and accomplish something I never imagined I could do!!!<\/div>\n
It was amazing!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The bonus?<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Old clients who saw the TVC booked me again for makeup and I got new clients too!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I was surprised that my small celebrity exposure paid off! It brought me new jobs!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
It was a great learning for me and I hope for you to.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
When an opportunity knocks, grab it!<\/div>\n
Be brave, it makes you more beautiful!<\/div>\n
Don\u2019t let your fears win!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
