The Eid holidays are fast approaching and if you did not have time to book a salon appointment for the event festivities, don’t you worry!
I have some very useful advice for you that you can easily follow to step-up your beauty routine this EID.
1. Get rid of puffy eyes
If your eyes are puffy due to lack of sleep, there is a very easy solution. Soak two tea bags in warm water and chill the tea bags in the freezer for 15 minutes. Cover each eye with the tea bag for at least five minutes to help relieve the puffiness.
2. Exfoliate your skin and moisturize
Perform a simple do-it-yourself facial by using a gentle exfoliating scrub on your face. Use your fingertips to gently slough off dead skin. Tone your face with rosewater and quickly apply a moisturizing sheet mask or any face cream available.
You can also use a tablespoon of honey mixed with fine oatmeal or sugar as an exfoliating scrub.
3. Oil your hair
Moisturize your hair using olive or coconut oil and leave it for at least 30 minutes before shampooing. This will get rid of the dryness and make your hair extra shiny.
4. Keep your nails clean looking
If your manicure suffered because of all the hours spent in the kitchen and you were not able to have them professionally done, you can still keep them looking presentable. Trim and file your nails at uniform length and carefully apply a fresh coat of nail polish.
If you are not an expert in applying polish or you want to keep them polish-free, you can get rid of yellowish stains by soaking your nails in lemon with baking soda for around 15 minutes. Buff your nails to keep them shiny
5. Spritz on your favorite scent
Women often underestimate the power of a wonderful perfume. After you shower don’t forget to spray on your favorite scent. This will not only keep you smelling fresh all day but will also lift your mood.
6. Brighten up your face with color
Add some color to your cheeks by using blush or highlighter, and apply a bright or rich colored lipstick. This will give your face an instant energy that suits the festivities.
7. Ask a beauty expert for rescue!
One problem during Dubai EID holidays is that beauty salons and makeup studios are either closed or fully booked. It becomes really frustrating to waste your time driving to a hair salon and waiting in queue to have your makeup done, especially if you have thousands of things you still need to do.
Avoid all these holiday drama and ask a professional who offers personalized beauty and hair services at your home. This may be a little more expensive than salon prices, but as I always say, time is money so just think of all the time and effort you will be saving by having your hair and makeup done in the comforts of your own room.
